Blasting News is a fully independent magazine based on the principles of social journalism and is powered by the voices of thousands of people, called Blasters. Blasting News has an ambitious plan: to make our world a better one, giving everyone the possibility of sharing ideas with a global audience and enjoying truly independent information.
Currently read by 10 million people each month, Blasting News offers a space to publish and discuss news and opinions to a fast growing community of more than 70,000+ Blasters.

Blasters earn money thanks to a simple quality-based system: the more people that read the content, the more money the Blaster receives. Money comes from advertisement sold on the webpages. The company started up a year ago. Based in Switzerland, Blasting News is now going global, and thus far it is live in 32 countries.

Senior Blaster
Main Goal
• Support the International Department (based in Switzerland) in order to make Blasting News the highest quality magazine in the following countries: Brazil, France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and United Kingdom.
Main Responsibilities
• Report news and tell great stories, and if possible, using a broad set of media including: written articles, videos, photos and audio.
• Read and approve or reject news content produced by Blasters.
• Spreading the Blasting News’ virus in your specific Country by looking for new Blasters and managing the local Blaster community.
• Take care of digital marketing activities under the supervision of the International Department.
• Give suggestions and hints to improve Blasting News in Poland.
Competences and Experience
• Is extremely passionate about innovative online media paradigms and social journalism.
• Possesses a real interest in social media marketing and has community management skills.
• A deep knowledge of writing content on the web.
• A strong entrepreneurial spirit, proactivity and focus on innovation.
• Is a native Polish speaker.
Operating Details
• Job Location: Anywhere. The Senior Blaster is not required to check in at an office.
• Working hours: Flexible. The Senior Blaster can work full time or part time.
Compensation
Variable, as compensation is proportionate to the actual commitment of the Senior Blaster.
Senior Blasters are compensated according to:
• The number of articles and the effectiveness of those articles (the compensation is up to €150 per article)
• The amount of time spent approving or reviewing articles written by other Blasters
• The number of new Blasters they are able to bring into the community
Selection Process
• The candidate must send their cover letter and CV to jobs@blastingnews.com with: “Ref: Senior Blaster application, Poland” in the subject line.
• The HR team will evaluate the cover letter and the CV, and if they are seen as promising will follow up with the candidate and start the interview process
• The interview process will proceed primarily on Skype
